I don’t know about you, but one of my favorite parts of my workout is the smoothie that I get to drink at the end! It’s a chocolatey treat that motivates me to get up and head to the gym. This smoothie is full of protein and good carbs while staying vegan and allergy-friendly!
Most almond milk and butter are fortified with extra vitamins and lower in calories than regular milk, as long as you use an unsweetened one. Some people don’t like bananas or avocados but can enjoy the health benefits by throwing them in the blender and masking the taste with chocolate!
The whole point of a post-workout smoothie is to supply you with nutrients and give you a boost of energy after an exhausting workout session. This recipe requires no effort on your part and takes minutes to prepare, yet it provides you with an incredible 24 grams of protein, 38 grams of carbohydrates, and 20 grams of fat, all in a 400 calorie drink!
So, the next time you finish an exhausting workout, you should reward yourself with this heavenly chocolate protein smoothie! You can also throw some cacao nibs or chocolate chips on top for aesthetics and a nice crunch--it’ll make your pictures look even better.
